The first track is a new more jazzy and slightly klezmer-like take on the Korean arirang folk song style in respect to the original style, a bit in the way folkrock was formed in the UK in the late 60s this idea isn't different. It felt the modern vibes and incorporated them into how this could feel the old vibes in it as well. “Bad College Student” does the same thing but gives even more credit to the American jazz vibe while mixing it with some accordion too. This was new at the time! A great re-discovery.

Tracks with * I consider essential listens or classics, also very suitable for western radioshow airplay.

The song could be found on the previously listed compilation up. I noticed the leading folky accordion tune and vibe this time a bit more, I almost wondered if this wasn't a different version with less jazz. Anyhow, I love this track.

14 기타는 운다 / Guitar cry (1939)

This is a somewhat sad, well sung Trot track with some acoustic guitar pickings but mainly led by strings and accordion and a sort of castagnette rhythm. It sounds like a fresh interpretation.

This song, which was released along with <We Go Wind, C.40861 / 劉鍾燮>, is the work of 金茶人作詩 / 李在鎬作曲 / 大村能章編曲.金薔薇, who debuted and sang, was called 流行漫謠 <Busan 大學生 (39/3)>, which was introduced to us by 金薔薇 in July of that year.
